Inside our facility in Holland

Export of flower bulbs and perennials to the United States started for us in 1976. Our main customer bases were garden centers and greenhouse growers and we still supply a lot of the earliest customers to this day! Throughout the years we made a few changes and also started to focus our expertise towards wholesale growers and mail order. Unex Inc. now specializes in exporting Dutch grown flower bulbs and perennials all over North America and different parts of Europe and Asia.

At our location in Voorhout, Holland we have about 40.000 square feet of warehouse for storing, grading and packing bulbs and perennials. Here, there are 10 climate-controlled and ventilated storage rooms with the ability of temperatures between –2 and +30 degrees Celsius (25 and 86 Fahrenheit). These storage rooms give us the ability for optimal climate conditions for the flower bulbs and perennials throughout all seasons of the year.

Our U.S. facility in Hartford,Michigan is 27,000 square feet of warehouse and offices. There we have temperature controlled and ventilated coolers and freezers to keep our product perfectly preserved. This newly build warehouse helps us to improve our service in shipping and distribution of all our product throughout the seasons.

We also take part of the world known outdoor exhibition of ‘Keukenhof’ park in Holland, this display takes place from the end of March until the middle of May. More information can be found on www.keukenhof.com .
